Thermal Imaging And Vibration Analysis

To increase the life expectancy of our customer’s HVAC equipment, CMS Controls has certified technicians on staff that can perform predictive maintenance using state-of-the-art thermal imaging and vibration analysis equipment. These test instruments can allow us to identify potential issues with bearings, fan assemblies and most any moving mechanical portion of a system without shutting down the equipment.

The thermal imaging camera allows our technician to locate “Hot Spots” in electrical circuits to locate loose connections or components that are subject to failure under extreme load conditions. Fully trained and compliant to NFPA 70E-2015 arc-flash safety requirements, our technicians can perform all imaging and testing on electrical services without the need to power the system off, and then provide you with a comprehensive report with photos and thermal images as well as explanations of potential “trouble spots”.  These reports often satisfy the customer’s insurance carrier and can reduce premiums for a facility!
